Clutch Cargo, Spinner, and Paddlefoot make it to the office of the train company that had the train stolen. Sheriff Shotgun Lafferty tells them some robbers crashed in with guns and "slugged" him after he wouldn't give them a message he received. Clutch have to chase down the robbers on a tiny rail car.
